The Right To Read Inquiry Recommendations
Dr. George Georgiou is a full professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta and the director of the Reading Research Laboratory. In the last two years he has been seconded to Alberta Education to oversee the development and implementation of the new ELAL draft curriculum. He has received numerous awards for his research including the Killam professorship, the McCalla Professorship and the Alberta Teachers’ Association Educational Research Award. Because of excellence in research, in 2018, he was inducted into the Royal Society of Canada.
