Lisa Virtue
I am a registered Speech-Language Pathologist with 20 years of experience working in a variety of settings, including education, private practice, hospitals and long-term care facilities I have comprehensive experience assessing and delivering evidence-based oral language and literacy services to students one-on-one as well as developing resources to support educator implementation of structured literacy in the classroom. With the recent release of the Ontario Human Rights Commission Report on the Right to Read, I am passionately optimistic about the future for all students to learn to read. I deeply believe in empowering educators with the same knowledge and passion to support their students. Outside of my work as a Speech-Language Pathologist, I enjoy spending time outdoors: running, mountain biking, and paddling.
