Judy Boksner is a co-host of The Literacy View Podcast and currently works on the Universal Literacy Team at the NYC Department of Education. Ms. Boksner and her team’s goal is to ensure that every student exits second-grade reading and writing on grade level. Boksner possesses a strong background in early childhood literacy and has worked with the NYC Department of Education for over twenty-four years.
Boksner is formally trained in Reading Recovery and has extensive expertise in The Science of Reading. Ms. Boksner is trained in Orton Gillingham’s approach and Letrs, based on the Science of Reading. Ms. Boksner has extensive experience teaching linguistics and foundational skills through Wilson Reading-Fundations.
Judy Boksner is a first-generation American and is a licensed English Language Practitioner. Boksner works extensively with students who are English Language Learners.
Ms. Boksner is a data specialist. Her work in examining data leads to more substantial student outcomes and success.
